CONVENER
Together with other creatives and leaders, I co-founded 9th Street in 2018, a Johannesburg-based community of multidisciplinary Jewish artists exploring identity, culture and belonging through creative practice. Our work has been supported by organisations including Hakhel, UJA New York, Creative Gatherings, the South African Cities Network and Limmud South Africa.
In 2024, I co-founded Beis Clef, a musical community that reimagines Jewish ritual through singing, shared meals and conversation. Beis Clef brings people together to explore contemporary Jewish life through music, liturgy and creative practice. The community has led events at the Beit Emanuel Progressive Synagogue and will also perform at Limmud Johannesburg in August 2025.
I have also been actively involved with Limmud South Africa since 2009 as a presenter, performer and programme contributor, creating spaces for learning, dialogue and cultural exploration.
Across these projects I create spaces where creativity, ritual and conversation bring people into relationship with one another and with Jewish life.
