Convener
Together with other creatives and leaders, I co-founded 9th Street in 2018, a Johannesburg-based community of multidisciplinary Jewish artists exploring identity, culture and belonging through creative practice. Our work has been supported by organisations including Hakhel, UJA New York, Creative Gatherings, South African Cities Network and Limmud South Africa.
Seeking new ways to contribute to the sustainability of a shrinking Jewish community in South Africa, I founded Beis Clef in 2025: a community that reimagines Jewish ritual through music, shared meals and plenty of shmoozing. We are supported by Beit Emanuel Progressive Synagogue in Johannesburg.
I have also been actively involved with Limmud South Africa since 2009 as a presenter, performer and programme contributor, creating spaces for learning, dialogue and cultural exploration.
Across all of these projects, my passion lies in bringing people together through creativity and building communities where Jewish life can be explored in meaningful and inclusive ways.
